European Refugee Crisis

It appears that the distressing plight of tens of thousands of asylum seekers walking across Europe from Greece and others by boat from North Africa has really grabbed the attention of mainstream politics.
The actions of German Chancellor Angela Merkle are to be praised, as she faces the Chief Ministers of the EU and challenges them to match her generosity and humanity.  This human crisis needs people of great empathy and vision to prepare a plan that distributes the aid to those refugees in an equitable way.  All countries in the developed world must be prepared to share.
The countries that have shouldered most of the burden for 4 years have been struggling to manage their own economies.
